CAL FIRE Help a Hero provides critical support to California’s firefighters and their families during times of injury, illness, loss, and unexpected tragedy. Whether facing a line-of-duty death, a serious injury, or a personal crisis, our mission is to ensure no firefighter or their family faces hardship alone.
Honor the Fallen
Honor the Fallen send our CAL FIRE San Diego firefighters to attend the California Firefighters Memorial Ceremony in Sacramento each October to honor those who have died in the line of duty. This annual event provides an opportunity to pay tribute, support grieving families, and stand in solidarity with the fire service community. Through this program, we keep the legacy of our fallen heroes alive and ensure their sacrifice is never forgotten.

Join us for the Annual Red Mountain Golf Classic
Your registration includes range practice, 18 holes of golf, a shared cart, lunch, and access to our silent auction, prizes, and a celebratory reception. Whether you’re playing as an individual ($120) or bringing a team of four ($480), this tournament is the perfect way to enjoy a day on the course while supporting the Cal Fire San Diego Benevolent Fund, dedicated to our brave local firefighters.
