Firefighters dedicate their lives to protecting our communities, often at great personal risk. When one of our own makes the ultimate sacrifice, it is our duty to ensure their bravery and legacy are never forgotten.

The Honor the Fallen program provides the funding and resources necessary to send CAL FIRE San Diego firefighters to the California Firefighters Memorial Ceremony in Sacramento each October. This annual event, hosted by the California Fire Foundation, pays tribute to the firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Each year, names of fallen heroes are etched into the California Firefighters Memorial Wall, ensuring their sacrifices are forever honored. The event brings together families, colleagues, and supporters to reflect, remember, and stand in solidarity.
